Rob’s Background: Building upon my recent accolade as the Top Payments Sales Professional of the Year from ETA Transact in 2024, I have solidified my expertise in navigating the high-risk payment landscape. The growth witnessed under my leadership—notably in revenue and high-performing team cultivation—reflects a commitment to delivering customized, scalable solutions. My approach is rooted in empowering clients through strategic partnerships and innovative services that enhance their competitive edge.
I have been in the merchant services industry sector for close to twenty years. I got into the industry because my mentor at the time, the late great Jack Welch, recommended that I work for a Fortunate 100 company just to get the experience. Prior to me joining American Express, I had run startup companies both on the east coast and west coast my entire career. Jack told me “Go see how corporate America is like, stay a few years and get the hell out”. After American Express I was recruited by Gary Jackson at CCBill to run their team. This was my first exposure in (5967- adult) and (7273 – dating) and other high-risk verticals. After almost five years running CCBill, I was recruited by Humboldt Merchant Services to run their sales as Vice President of Sales. After nearly five years at HBMS, I was offered the opportunity to become Chief Sales Officer of Corepay in June of this year.
